City staff: Brewer Adobe owner missed meeting; staff to request re‑tarpping and formal plans

Atkinson told commissioners the city intends to press the owner to protect the building from weather and to pursue formal plan submittal; commissioners asked staff to ensure any tarps or protections are properly secured against seasonal storms.
On the question of stronger municipal tools, Atkinson said staff and the city attorney had discussed demolition‑by‑neglect ordinances but that the city had not initiated that process. "It's something that we've discussed," she said. No new enforcement action or timetable was announced during the meeting.
