Committee discusses facility assessment process; 2015 assessment not immediately available
Summary
Staff presented an example of what a district-wide facility assessment would look like, said the 2015 assessment is not in district archives and recommended RFPing a new assessment in January-February or moving forward with a vendor proposal at the board's discretion.

The Buildings & Grounds Committee reviewed what a comprehensive facility assessment would include and learned the district does not have an immediately available copy of its 2015 assessment.
Staff showed a sample assessment (including projected costs, photos and recommendations) and said a similar document would be prepared for the district's buildings if the committee decides to proceed. Facilities staff said the 2015 report was produced by a company called E and G (the same firm that completed work at Johnson) but that the original electronic files are not currently in the district's archived email record and staff will attempt to obtain a copy from the vendor.
Staff suggested that January or February would be the appropriate time to issue a request for proposals (RFP) and that the board could choose whether to pursue Gordon Clark's proposal or open competition. The committee did not take formal action; staff will seek the 2015 assessment document and return with recommendations for next steps.
