Board members said the review will solicit input from Human Resources, county staff and possibly outside consultants; findings will be reported in work‑group sessions and brought back to the full board for any substantive proposals. Commissioners emphasized the committee will be transparent and will not make unilateral changes without full-board consideration.
The motion to form the committee passed unanimously; commissioners asked staff to plan a sequence of workshops and gather comparative models from other Minnesota counties for consideration.
