DENTON, Texas — The Denton County Commissioners Court on Aug. 12 approved the County Clerk's records archive plan and continued the collection of a $10 preservation and restoration fee on real property recordings to fund archive preservation and digitization.
County Clerk Julie Leek presented the request, saying the fees support digitization and preservation of county records and that the funds are shared with other county departments that need access to the records. "At this time, we are requesting to continue the collection of the $10 fee on all of the real property recordings," Leek told the court.

Why it matters
