The Historic Landmark Commission approved its consent agenda unanimously Aug. 6, adopting minutes and several routine permit and certificate items without extended discussion.
The consent agenda included approval of the July minutes (item 1); certificates of appropriateness for multiple properties (items 5–11); National Register consent item 17 (1804 Alta Vista Avenue) and item 13 (1210 West Twelfth Street); and an addendum appointment (item 23) to designate Commissioner Carl LaRoche as the commission’s representative to the Downtown Commission following his reappointment.
Staff noted some consent items are part of a grant program and encouraged commissioners and the public to review backup materials; a small number of speakers had signed up but did not request escalation to full hearings. Commissioners raised no objections and voted to approve the consent package by unanimous voice/hand vote.
Action: Motion to approve consent agenda (items 1, 5–11, 13, 17, 23); motion carried unanimously.
