Daytona Beach Shores Planning and Zoning Board continues four ordinances to Feb. 9, 2026 meeting

The Daytona Beach Shores Planning and Zoning Board voted to continue four ordinances to its Feb. 9, 2026 Planning and Zoning meeting after property owners asked to delay consideration, city staff said at the meeting.
City staff told the board that the owners of the properties involved asked to hold their future land-use map amendments and rezoning requests until Feb. 9, 2026. “The owners of both properties ... opted to put their future land use map amendment and their rezone on hold until the date certain of 02/09/2026,” a staff member said during the meeting.
The continuances mean the items are expected to proceed afterward to City Commission meetings scheduled for March 3 and April 7, city staff said. Staff also advised the board that two items (ordinances 2025-14 and 2025-15) are dependent on the approvals of ordinances 2025-12 and 2025-13, and suggested handling the motions in two groups to reflect that dependency.
The board handled each ordinance with separate motions to continue. For each item the board recorded an affirmative vote and the presiding officer announced that the motion passed. The board also approved the minutes from the prior meeting earlier in the session.
