Ada County EMS district ratifies claims and personnel actions; director transition announced

The Ada County Emergency Medical Services (EMS) district board met Sept. 20 to ratify payments, approve personnel actions and renewals, and receive a brief update on leadership changes.
Board members approved the EMS claims journal listed on the agenda and ratified a previously paid claims journal. Personnel actions that include cost-of-living adjustments (COLA) and merit pay were approved; staff explained the salary changes are effective now but payments are processed in the next fiscal year when budgeted.
The board approved four EMS agreements listed on the agenda. In an update, commissioners noted the long-serving EMS director, Sean (last name not provided), is preparing to retire at the end of October and that a new EMS director will take the post; the EMS organization will celebrate its 50th anniversary on Oct. 7. No additional operational changes or budget actions were taken during the meeting.
Minutes for the Sept. 2 EMS district meeting were approved and the chair was authorized to sign the document.
