The Ridgecrest City Council on Sept. 3 adopted a resolution approving an addendum to the environmental impact report (EIR) for a new wastewater treatment plant and amended the mitigation monitoring and reporting program, clearing a step needed to advance final design and permitting.
The council voted 5-0 to adopt the resolution after staff described changes reflecting the city’s selection of a base-site alternative and updates from 100% design work. “If council approved this this evening, we'll then have to publish our new notice of determination on the state website,” City staff said during the presentation.
