Ada County EMS awards collections contract to Bonneville Collections; paramedic honored for 25 years

The Ada County Board of Commissioners accepted the evaluation committee’s recommendation and awarded RFP 25059 for Ada County Paramedics collection services to Bonneville Collections. The evaluation team ranked firms by score; Bonneville Collections led the list with an evaluation score of 83.22 and submitted a fee-based proposal at 17.5 percent.

Procurement staff read the final ranking into the record at the Aug. 12 meeting. The ranked firms and scores were: 1) Bonneville Collections — 83.22; 2) Diversified Adjustment Services Inc. — 78.68; 3) RTR Financial Services Inc. — 71.75; 4) First Point Collection Resources Inc. — 70.53; 5) Cedars Business Services LLC — 68.27; 6) Automated Accounts — 65.88; 7) CBI Inc. — 61.86; and Medical Recovery Services was found nonresponsive for failing to include the proposal response cover sheet. The board voted to award the contract to Bonneville Collections; procurement staff noted Bonneville is located in Boise.

In related EMS business, the board recognized Battalion Chief Brandon LaRosa for 25 years of service to Ada County Paramedics. Speakers praised LaRosa’s leadership, long service and role with peer support. The EMS chief also briefed the board on preparations for the Western Idaho Fair — including an infant safe-sleep education campaign known as ABCs (Alone, Back, Crib) — and noted a recently painted ambulance will appear at public events.

The motion to accept the procurement recommendation and award RFP 25059 to Bonneville Collections passed by voice vote.
