The county had no ownership of the 64 acre tract that is currently held by the First Bank of Virginia,” Manning said, explaining the county did not participate in prior sales or deed restrictions but is buying the tract now.
The board was told the purchase will be paid from Article 44 sales tax revenue, a county-designated fund for economic development and public education.…
