Leesburg BAR opens public hearing and defers shed relocation case to Aug. 4

At the July 23 meeting the Leesburg Board of Architectural Review opened the public hearing for TLHPBR 2025002920, an application concerning an existing accessory shed at North Street Northeast, and then voted unanimously to defer the case to the board’s August 4 work session.
Staff and several board members discussed whether the public hearing needed to be opened before deferral to the work session so the applicant would not have to be re‑advertised. The board agreed to open and hold the public hearing and then defer the matter so a translator can attend and so the full case can be considered at the work session.
The motion to defer was moved and seconded at the meeting; the board voted 7–0 to send TLHPBR 2025002920 to the August 4 work session. The board asked that the record remain open and that the applicant or public may return to speak at the August 4 session if they prefer.
No final design determinations were made at the July 23 meeting; substantive review will resume on Aug. 4 when the case is re‑noticed on the work session agenda.
