The Salt Lake City School District received a status update Tuesday on multiple construction and site projects tied to the district’s high‑school rebuilds, including temporary athletic fields for West High, a fundraising effort for the Glendale track and field, and progress on the Wasatch tunnel art frames.
District facilities presenter Isaac (Facilities staff) told the board that work is under way to prepare temporary fields for West High and that city partnerships are in place to renovate the Glendale track and Rosewood Park baseball and softball infields. “Work is underway on the temporary fields for West High,” Isaac said. He said the Glendale track ad hoc fundraising committee has discussed a target in the “$600,000 range” but that a final amount had not been set and that committee members are waiting for detailed drawings to solicit sponsors.
