Budget and contingency: design and construction and budget staff reported the project fits within the owner’s contingency and that the current pay application and contingency position support the betterment. The motion authorized the betterment at a not‑to‑exceed level of $680,000. The signed document provided to staff listed an amount of $675,255.08.
Board action: Marie Gillespie moved to adopt Project Betterment Round 5 not to exceed $680,000; the motion was seconded and carried by voice vote. Staff noted the betterment is expected to be a public draw and that prior “make ready” work had already been completed.
What the board did not decide: the board did not change other project scopes or redirect GMP contingencies at the meeting. Staff said further documentation and execution paperwork would follow.
