South Plainfield board lists back-to-school dates, approves routine agenda items

A district staff member delivering the superintendent’s report on behalf of Superintendent Dr. Tanzi told the South Plainfield Board of Education that the district’s back-to-school schedule and administrative procedures are set and reminded families of several August orientation dates and a September first day of school.

The staff member said families will have early access to the Genesis parent portal for some schools and that the portal opens for all families on August 22. Locker camps, open houses and orientations were listed for district schools in August; fall sports practices have begun or will begin in mid-August. The staff member said, “First day of school for students is September 3.”
