"I believe it's February," one councilmember said during the discussion; staff confirmed February is used as the sewer-billing baseline.
Council moved to approve the ordinance on a motion and second; roll call votes were recorded in favor. The ordinance amends multiple sections of Chapter 6, Article 6 of the municipal code and provides for an effective date and publication in pamphlet form as required by state law.
The ordinance replaces prior fee provisions and changes specific code sections governing solid waste, sewer and water service charges; those sections will be repealed and replaced per the ordinance language and published following statutory procedures.
