The Scottsbluff City Council authorized a construction contract after staff described addenda to the bid documents and clarified a corrected civil sheet regarding water-service line sizing.
Staff said Addendum 1 revised specification verbiage and Addendum 2 replaced a civil sheet that originally called for an inch-and-a-half line where a two-inch line was required. “Addendum 1 I'm trying to remember. I cleaned up some verbiage in the specifications... Addendum 2 was we replaced 1 of the civil sheets because we caught that. We had an inch and a half line called out when we did a 2 inch line,” a staff member said.
Staff reported some sewer work nearby is already underway and projected a November start for the contract work. Council asked questions about the location of the new building and employee-use accommodations; staff said the building will be located beside an existing structure and will provide an employee lounge where none exists today.
Council member Solomon moved to approve the contract, the motion was seconded by Stricker, and the council approved it by roll call.
