The Scottsbluff City Council approved an amended final plat that divides Lots 1 and 2 of Block 1 in the Panhandle Quamper Subdivision into two separate lots, one intended for a Main Street Market and gas station and the other for a bank branch.
Planning staff told the council the replat is largely administrative because the improvements and buildings already exist; the primary purpose is to allow the bank to hold title to its lot. Staff noted the plat dedicates utility easements. “The property owner is desiring to split it into 2 lots. 1 which would be the main street market, building, grocery store, and the gas station. The other 1 would be the ... bank branch,” staff said.
Why it matters: The split lets separate owners hold property titles for existing commercial operations and records new utility easements to reflect built infrastructure. The planning commission had recommended approval.
Council action: Council member Phillips moved to approve the amended final plat, the motion was seconded by Solomon, and the council approved the resolution by roll call.
