Highland Park — The Highland Park City Council voted to add a resolution under council affairs to designate Bishop Louis E. Evans as an honorary secondary name for a segment of John R Street.

During the agenda-approval portion of the meeting, Councilman O'Shoppe moved to add a resolution that would name John R Street (from McNichols to Ferris) with a secondary designation honoring Bishop Louis E. Evans; the council agreed to place the resolution under council affairs as item 7a. Later in the meeting the resolution was read at length, outlining Bishop Evansroles as founder and senior pastor of Soul Harvest Ministries, his educational credentials and decades of service to Highland Park.
