The Forest Lake City Council voted July 14 to approve a five‑year interim use permit (IUP) allowing adult‑use retail cannabis sales at Beeswax Dispensary, 508 Lake Street South.
City planning staff said the site is in the MU‑2 zoning district and satisfies the city’s buffer, parking, landscaping, security and odor‑mitigation standards for retail cannabis. “It is a site that is eligible for this type of use in the future,” planning staffer Abby told the council during the presentation.
