On second reading the commission adopted Ordinance 2025-08, a comprehensive development code amendment that updates multiple chapters of the City of Largo Comprehensive Development Code to correct discrepancies and ensure consistency with Florida statutes and Pinellas County-wide rules. A staff presenter said there were no changes since the 7-0 first reading; the second-reading motion passed 6-0.
The commission also approved on first reading Ordinance 2025-25, which would vacate a portion of utility easement at 12400 Shawnee Trail to allow homeowners to expand a pool deck and place a shed. Staff reported no objections from utility owners and city departments; commissioners voted 6-0 to schedule the ordinance’s second reading and public hearing for July 15, 2025.
