The school applied for a good‑cause exemption to occupy a temporary site while the permanent facility completes inspections and obtains a certificate of occupancy or temporary certificate of occupancy. Staff recommended approval with conditions as a contingency to ensure students could begin on schedule.
Temporary site details provided in the application and staff recommendation: Wiley’s arranged a week‑to‑week lease at the Cambridge Recreation Center (3930 Cambridge Street, ZIP 89119), about 0.8 miles from the permanent facility. The school indicated a daily rental rate of about $460 for space needed four days per week for 204 enrolled students, estimating roughly $1,840 per week; staff reported the cost is within the school’s available budget.
