Staff said the city issued two development orders since the last report: Candlewood Suites, an 84-room hotel on about 2.68 acres south of Cracker Barrel Road, and Gold Crown Townhomes, a nine-unit townhouse subdivision on roughly 0.5 acres near the intersection of Highway 85 and Highway 90 on McCaskill Street. Staff also said the final plat for Garden Villas phase 1 was recorded; earlier discussion had included a phase 2 concept of about 158 townhouse lots south of Crestview High School.
The development report listed multiple projects still in review, including a Walmart Neighborhood Market, a tax collector's office (which staff said received its development order after the report was drafted), Freedom Walk subdivision, Longview Estates, Spring Creek Court and Sycamore Court. Staff told the council that some items on the review list had appeared in prior reports and remain in process.
No formal council action was taken on the development items during the meeting; the report was offered for information and staff invited questions.
