- ZON25-000027 (Riverdance Ranch LLC): Approved rezoning of the same 1.01-acre portion from A-10-C (general agricultural, 10-acre minimum) to RR-1 (rural residential, 1-acre minimum) to permit the lot split.
- ZON25-000028 (Lorinda Atkinson): Approved rezoning of a 0.326-acre parcel from R-4-M (urban residential with mobile-home housing) to R-4-C (urban residential with conventional housing) to allow different housing options.
- ZON25-000035 (Long Hammock Ranch 3 LLC): Approved rezoning of roughly 10 acres from A-10-C to RR-5-C (rural residential, 5-acre minimum) to enable a lot split.
- LU25-000022 (transmittal hearing, Lake Panasoffkee area): Approved transmitting a future-land-use map amendment to the state (82 acres from commercial to rural residential; 5 acres from rural residential to commercial) for state review and further comment.
- Chapter 2 / Section 2-96 amendment (administration / special master / code enforcement): Approved removing a courtesy notice requirement and aligning county code with state statutes; staff said the change reflects board policy and Florida Statute chapter 162.
- Other consent and procedural items: The board approved minutes, the financial items presented, 13 contracts and agreements, appointments to the Affordable Housing Advisory Committee, a schedule for a public workshop at the Villages Sumter County Service Center, and other routine items. Commissioners also set a rescheduled executive session for Aug. 12 because legal advertisement did not publish for tonight's planned session.
Several items were presented by County Administrator Bradley Arnold; planning staff and the Planning & Zoning Special Master recommended approval on the quasi-judicial items. There were few speakers during those hearings and no votes opposed. Where applicants were not present, the board proceeded on staff and special-master recommendations.
Votes recorded in the meeting minutes were unanimous for the listed items.
