Administrative amendment — WTA temporary classrooms: The board approved a request to place temporary classroom units on the school property while renovations proceed, with the applicant saying the trailers would be installed in August for an estimated six‑month period and powered via a temporary overhead feed from an existing carriage‑house disconnect. Architect/engineer David Amara told the board the classrooms would be fully fitted with HVAC and lighting and that they would rely on existing restrooms in the main building rather than adding plumbing in the trailers. The board added a condition that the temporary classrooms comply with applicable building‑code occupancy limits and that any temporary power, access or site work meet DPW and code requirements; the applicant agreed to provide required documentation.
Pratt Landing fee‑language amendment: The board approved a requested wording change to previously approved conditions so certain above‑baseline public‑benefit work could be credited against fee obligations, subject to final review and approval by the city manager. The change does not reduce the applicant’s obligations; it only clarifies how credits and offsets might be applied and remains subject to the manager’s discretionary approval.
Extension request — 74 Portman Road: The board granted a standard extension for PB 16‑2024 (auto‑recovery business at 74 Portman Road) after the applicant reported earlier sewer issues had delayed plan progress and that construction plans had been filed.
Each administrative item was approved by voice vote. For the temporary classroom amendment, staff noted the applicant must coordinate the temporary power connection and ensure safe clearance for traffic and buses under any temporary wiring; the applicant confirmed temporary power routing and said the units will be removed after the temporary period.
No further public hearings were required for these administrative items; staff and the applicants will complete the required permit and documentation steps.
