The City Council of Anna unanimously approved July 22 an ordinance adopting the 2025 annual service-plan update for the Santa Capri Service and Assessment Improvement District, in accordance with Chapter 372 of the Texas Local Government Code.
Assistant Director of Economic Development Tasha Roach told the council the update is an annual compliance requirement that reports on development within the Santa Capri phase and confirms which lots are developed, occupied and paying assessments. Roach said staff does not believe construction has begun in Phase 2.
Council members asked that city staff follow up with the developer to get a status update on Phase 2 and the lagoon construction; a council member reminded the council that the developer has a standing agreement with the city that precludes starting Phase 2 until the lagoon is completed. City staff agreed to contact the developer and schedule a presentation if necessary.
A motion to approve the ordinance carried unanimously. No amendments or additional conditions were added at the meeting.
