The Compliance and Technical Advisory Board voted July 18 to approve a 4‑foot front‑facing fence with a vehicle gate for a property on Lee Street that contains two houses on one lot.
Applicant Troy Neyjar told the board he owns both structures on the parcel and sought to construct fencing and gates to allow vehicle access and a pedestrian gate between the houses. Neyjar said he originally sought a 6‑foot privacy fence for more separation and parking privacy but indicated during the hearing he would accept a 4‑foot configuration if required. Staff advised that a 6‑foot fence can be administratively approved when placed against an existing wall but that the requested configuration along the front would generally be limited to 4 feet.
Board members and staff discussed address and parcel details — the application listed 530 Lee Street though Neyjar said the lot’s legal frontage is 528 — and whether the proposed gates and pier location created an unusual condition. After clarifying that both homes on the lot are owned by the applicant and that staff could assist with technical details, the board approved the 4‑foot height and gate configuration with stipulations about gate height and location.
The board asked the applicant to coordinate with staff on final plans and administrative permits. The motion carried on a roll call of members present.
