The Arizona Regional Economic Development Foundation (ARED) plans to hold a public grand opening for its new Community Innovation Center on Aug. 16 at 3 p.m. at 4251 Enterprise Way in Sierra Vista, ARED announced on KWCD’s First Watch.
Sarah Pacheco, assistant director of the Arizona Regional Economic Development Foundation, said the foundation has owned the building since 1998 and is converting a former call‑center and interim charter school campus into a hub for entrepreneurs and small businesses. The center will offer co‑work spaces, business counseling, and a large conference area intended to host community events.
Pacheco said the Institute for Digital Inclusion Acceleration (IDEA) will open a Hive at the site — a free technology hub with digital navigators to help community members learn devices and software. The facility is expected to include 3D printers, laser engravers, a robot and a computer lab stocked with software that might otherwise be costly for small organizations.
Pacheco invited residents and business owners to the open house portion of the grand opening and said ARED will offer business support such as marketing plan reviews and counseling for tenants of the co‑work space.
