Kathy, a member of the Zoning Board of Appeals, called the meeting to order at Lakeville Public Library on July 17 and the board voted to continue two public hearings to its Aug. 21 meeting and to approve minutes from June 12.

The board granted a continuance for the Belozzo hearing for 301 Pond Lane after the petitioner requested more time. A speaker said a peer review was not ready and asked that the hearing be continued to Aug. 21; the motion to continue was made and seconded and carried unanimously. He also said the Massachusetts Department of Environmental Protection recently rendered an opinion that “LeBaron Hills development is not a consecutive water supply,” and that his client remains willing to work with town residents and the city to pursue extending an existing water line from LeBaron Boulevard through Fern Avenue to Precinct Street to “improve the pressure and quality of the water system.” The board voted to continue that hearing to Aug. 21; the motion passed with board members answering “Aye.”

The board then reviewed the meeting packet and approved the minutes from the June 12 meeting after a motion and second. Members voted “Aye” and the motion carried. The board adjourned; the transcript records the next meeting scheduled for Aug. 21.
