Neighbors oppose rezoning of North Mount Juliet Road corridor from OPS to CTC

The proposal, sponsored by City Manager Kenny Martin, sought to align zoning in the corridor with the city's future land use plan, which lists the area as neighborhood commercial and permits CTC among other commercial zones. But neighbors and several commissioners said the corridor's proximity to schools and long-established homes makes higher-intensity CTC zoning inappropriate.
