The Redford Union School Board designated Miss Miller as its representative to cast the district—s ballot in the Wayne Regional Educational Services Agency (Wayne RESA) board election and named Missus Johnson as the alternate.
Board members said the election will be held Monday, June 2, 2025, and the designated representative was instructed to cast the district—s first-ballot votes for the two candidates on the ballot, James Berry and Linda Jackson. The motion to designate Miss Miller as representative and Missus Johnson as alternate was moved and seconded; a roll-call vote recorded unanimous approval.
A board member asked whether the representative must be one of the elected board members and confirmed the requirement that the district send an in-person representative to the voting meeting. Miss Miller volunteered to serve; Missus Johnson agreed to serve as alternate.
The full motion read in part that the board would "designate Miss Miller as the representative of this board for the electoral body and Missus Johnson as alternate in the event that the designated representative is unable to attend" and further directed the representative to cast votes for James Berry and Linda Jackson on the first ballot.
The motion was moved by Mister Bailey and seconded by Missus Martin. Roll-call votes recorded yes votes from Mister Bailey, Missus Johnson, Missus Martin, Miss Miller, Mister Osowski and the chair; the motion carried.
