Items include transfers to and from the general fund and capital projects, returns of unspent capital funds to operating accounts, and allocations for specific projects such as the Kodiak Fisheries Research Center decontamination and seawater intake pump replacement projects.
Williams outlined the 11 requests in the amendment: (1) transfer $8,978.59 from the general fund to the Kodiak Fisheries Research Center facility fuels bill capital project; (2) transfer $100,000 within the general fund from Borough Management to Engineering and Facilities for project and staffing changes; (3) transfer $120,000 from Community Development to Engineering and Facilities; (4) transfer $26,165.64 from Buildings and Grounds to the capital budget for an air conditioner removal and replacement; (5) return $844.17 from an emergency boiler replacement capital project to Buildings and Grounds; (6) return $51,234.04 from the Peterson HVAC and roof replacement capital project to Buildings and Grounds; (7) transfer $300,000 within the Renewal and Replacement fund related to cleanup for a fuel spill in Carluk; (8) transfer $125,000 from Renewal and Replacement to the Millbait Beach Stairs Replacement capital project; (9) transfer $22,068.01 from Solid Waste Disposal and Collection to the capital projects fund for the Baylor Floor overlay replacement; (10) transfer $750,000 from the Kodiak Fisheries Research Center fund to the capital projects fund for the KFRC decontamination project; and (11) transfer $250,000 from the KFRC fund to the capital projects fund for a seawater intake pump replacement.
The assembly voted to advance the ordinance to a public hearing at the next regular meeting. Roll call recorded affirmative votes by the assembly; the mayor announced the motion passed unanimously. The ordinance will be the subject of a public hearing at the assembly's next regular meeting, where the assembly will take final action.
