GRASS VALLEY, Calif. — The Grass Valley Development Review Committee on July 15 unanimously approved a minor sign review permitting a wall-mounted sign above the awning at Soul Space Collective, 206 West Main Street.
City Planner Amy Wolfson presented the application (file no. 25PLND-23) and said the proposed individual aluminum letters would be painted black, 3/4 inch thick, centered above the front door. Wolfson said the Soul Space lettering measures 10 feet, 7 inches long by 18 inches high and the word “collective” measures 4 feet, 3 inches by 4 inches, for a combined new and existing signage area that staff calculated as compatible with the municipal code. She moved to approve the permit; a committee member seconded the motion and the committee approved it.
The Historical Commission reviewed the proposal on July 8 and recommended approval, Wolfson said.…
