Council approves change order for Landmark Excavating cemetery project to add conduit, paving and security access

The Saratoga Springs City Council approved a change order for the Landmark Excavating cemetery project to add conduit for electrical/security, pave a single-lane access to a storage pad, and otherwise prepare an interim secure area for equipment and future shop construction.
City staff said the change order includes conduit runs to the storage pad so security cameras and other systems can be installed, construction of a paved one-lane access to the pad, and site work to allow temporary storage and future expansion. Staff also noted the project used recycled millings (tailings) from the Mountain View Corridor project as road base, saving money and reusing material.
Staff updated the council that the cemetery project is nearing completion: sod and trees have been installed, cremation garden features are mostly in place, and security cameras are being installed near the cremation garden. Staff estimated about 63 sales in phase 1 of cemetery plot sales, but said Nikki (records staff) could provide a precise number.
A motion to approve Business Item 3 (change order 1 for Landmark Excavating cemetery project, Resolution R25-39) passed unanimously.
