Sellersburg council approves parking rules, salary pay for new board; tables solicitation rewrite

Sellersburg — The Town of Sellersburg Town Council on July 14 approved a second-reading ordinance adopting new parking standards, adopted an amendment to the 2025 salary ordinance to provide a small stipend for a newly created board, approved a final contract change order showing a $2,721.16 underrun on a 2025 paving contract, accepted a memorandum of understanding for maintenance of a short segment of South New Albany Street, and accepted an agreement resolving a recent “vicious animal” matter. The council also voted to table a proposed repeal-and-replace of the town’s solicitation ordinance for further staff work.

The council unanimously approved Ordinance 2025-OR-013 on second reading to add parking standards to the town code. Council members said the ordinance had been published and the public had been given an opportunity to comment; no members of the public spoke on the item at the meeting.
