The Patrick County School Board on June 17 authorized the superintendent to approve and direct payment of any additional invoices that arrive between the board meeting and June 30 so finance can close out the 2024–25 fiscal year.
Superintendent Wood explained the board customarily meets in mid‑June to capture invoices but that some bills arrive after the meeting; the board moved and approved giving the superintendent authority to process necessary year‑end payments.
The motion passed by voice vote and the finance department will process approved invoices under the superintendent's authorization.
