The Wausau Plan Commission on July 15 voted to forward a petition to vacate and discontinue Pine Ridge Boulevard from North 20 Eighth Avenue to West Hill Drive to City Council.
Commissioners noted the item and supporting materials were forwarded from the Infrastructure and Facilities committee; representatives of the petitioner (identified in the record as REI) were present. With a motion from Watson and a second from Boardman, the commission voted by voice in favor of forwarding the petition; no opposition was recorded.
Staff and commissioners did not record additional public testimony during the hearing. The vacation petition will be placed on the City Council agenda for further consideration.
