Emery County commissioners approve consent agenda, airport bylaws changes, property sale process and security, library grants

The Emery County Commission voted on multiple routine and administrative items at its regular July meeting, approving amendments to airport advisory board bylaws, beginning the process to sell a county-owned parcel in Green River, adopting CJIS IT security policies required for criminal-justice data access and accepting a library technology grant.

The commission approved the consent agenda at the start of the meeting. Commissioners Warwood, Leonard and Jensen each recorded “aye” on the motion to approve the consent agenda.

The commission authorized changes to the recently adopted bylaws for the Huntington Municipal Airport Advisory Board. County leaders said the amendments remove language that tied specific nominations to external groups and instead allow applications followed by commission appointments. The initial board appointments will be staggered: two members would serve two-year terms and three members four-year terms to avoid full turnover at once.…
