Emery County commissioners approve consent agenda, airport bylaws changes, property sale process and security, library grants

The Emery County Commission voted on multiple routine and administrative items at its regular July meeting, approving amendments to airport advisory board bylaws, beginning the process to sell a county-owned parcel in Green River, adopting CJIS IT security policies required for criminal-justice data access and accepting a library technology grant.

The commission approved the consent agenda at the start of the meeting. Commissioners Warwood, Leonard and Jensen each recorded “aye” on the motion to approve the consent agenda.

The commission authorized changes to the recently adopted bylaws for the Huntington Municipal Airport Advisory Board. The commission accepted a Utah State Library Division technology grant package totaling up to $24,526 in reimbursement funds for the county library system. Director of Libraries Desiree Malley told the commission the award will replace aging tablets and purchase maker‑space and program technology across multiple branches. Individual awards listed by staff included up to $5,000 for Huntington Branch and up to $4,173 for Cleveland Branch; the full award list and amounts were presented by Malley.
