DRC offers minor comments on Mount Zion Loop commercial plan; 121 Church modification clears with no comment

The Nassau County Development Review Committee on July 15 reviewed two site-plan items and provided a minor landscaping comment on one plan while registering no objections to the other.
For Tab B (SP25-031, Mount Zion Loop Commercial, PBSP), planning staff said the county’s land development code requires evergreen trees along the southern property line. The submitted landscape plan showed two red maples in that location; planning advised swapping those red maples for evergreen species to meet Land Development Code requirement 370648.
Constance Lake of the building department, Kayla Burris of development services, Ronnie Nestor of the health department, and Amanda (Fire Department) indicated no further comments on Tab B. Planning staff framed the tree substitution as a comment to be addressed during the next review step; no formal vote was taken by the committee.
For Tab C (SP25-024, 121 Church modification, site engineering plan), the committee had no comments from building, planning, development services, fire, or health; staff closed the item and moved on. Both items were recorded as reviewed and are being recommended to department heads for final action.
Records at the meeting show the committee closed Tab B and Tab C and adjourned after the items were reviewed; no formal motions or votes were recorded in the public transcript.
