Yankton School Board administers oaths and elects officers for 2025–26

At the start of its reorganizational meeting, the Yankton School District 63-3 School Board administered the oath of office to newly elected or re-elected members and elected board officers for the 2025'26 school year.
New board members Sarah and Justin were welcomed. Individual swearing-in statements were read aloud, and the board then nominated and elected a president and vice president by roll call; Jacqueline Mueller was elected vice president by roll call (recorded responses: "Yes" from several members). The board chair thanked departing members Sarah and Terry for their service and recognized their contributions.
The board then appointed members to standing committees for finance, buildings and grounds, and personnel and negotiations. The finance committee additions were made with an expectation that committee members alternate monthly to accommodate members'schedules.
The board proceeded with routine business after reorganizing and adjourned at the meeting's close.
