Board notified of gym floor naming request and donor pledge; naming committee to review

Ridgeway told the board that Ben Lincoln had indicated a willingness to make a six-figure donation to Harper Creek Community Schools if the floor were dedicated.
"Our policy says we go to the facility naming committee for a recommendation, which comes back to the board," Ridgeway said, and he said the next step would be to convene the naming committee and then return to the board with a recommendation. Board member Mister Smith said he is on the naming committee and volunteered to meet as soon as possible.
No formal naming action was taken; the board will consider the naming committee's recommendation at a future meeting after the committee completes its review.
