Council votes unanimously to enter executive session citing MRSA 1 405 6E and related statutes

At the end of the July 14 workshop a councilor moved to go into executive session citing MRSA 405(6)(E) for consultation with the city solicitor and a separate statutory citation for collective-bargaining matters. The motion was seconded and the council conducted a roll-call vote that recorded unanimous support.
A council member said: "I'll make the motion that we go into executive session. MRSA 4056E, consultation with city solicitor and m o s a 6 d, a f s c n e local 9 26, council 93 Bridal operations." Another member seconded the motion.
The clerk called roll and each councilor present voted in favor: Councilor Beck (yes); Councilor Fish (yes); Councilor Fournier (yes); Councilor Mallett (yes); Councilor Trammell (yes); Councilor Hawes (yes); Councilor Dean (yes). The chair announced the council would move into executive session.
The public workshop ended with the council entering executive session. No substantive deliberations from the executive session were disclosed in open session.
