The Sparks City Council voted unanimously July 14 to change the comprehensive plan designation and rezone a 5.99-acre site at 800 Holman Way from Commercial (C) to Tourist Commercial (TC), and to approve a conditional use permit to recognize a currently operating nonrestricted gaming establishment as a conforming use.
Sienna Reed, planning manager, told the council the site contains four buildings including Scolari's grocery and a nonrestricted gaming operation that had grown to 7,891 square feet through prior approvals.
