Holbrook Judicial Center HVAC replacement project (electrical hookups, relocation of sprinkler pendants, temporary packaged AC units and additional air-handler work): approved; project fully reimbursed by the Administrative Office of the Courts. - Award of landfill maintenance building contract (Bid 2425-91) to Hart's Contracting of Owensboro for $991,246: approved. - Award of transfer-station office building contract (Bid 2425-92) to Kilometers Construction Services LLC for $484,000: approved. - Deed of easement to Owensboro Municipal Utilities to abandon and cap an existing well and drill a replacement well: approved (no cost to the county). - Promotion of Brian Cecil to assistant chief effective July 6, 2025: approved. - Acceptance of the retirement resignation of Tracy Campbell effective July 30, 2025: approved.
Several items were presented by county staff Ms. Sturgeon and Treasurer Mr. Johnson. Where projects involved state or federal reimbursements, presenters said the cost adjustments have been approved by the relevant agency (Administrative Office of the Courts or Kentucky Infrastructure Authority) and that associated grant agreements will reimburse the county.
