Juvenile Crime Prevention Council: The board appointed Britney Green to a member‑at‑large vacancy on the Juvenile Crime Prevention Council; the term runs through Dec. 31, 2026. Commissioners approved the appointment by voice vote.
Library committee: Commissioners appointed Jessica Simmons (chair), Sheryl Sanford, and Paula Hedrick to the library committee for terms through June 2027. The board discussed the importance of geographic diversity among committee members but approved the recommended slate.
Recreation and parks commission: The board approved the parks commission’s recommendation to appoint (or reappoint) Lee Eiseley, Dr. Harold Kernodle, and Janet McFall to open seats. County staff noted McFall’s prior work with Elon University and conservation partners on the Haw River Trail project.
All appointments were approved without recorded opposition during the meeting.
