City to hire four CSUMB IT interns and switch agenda software to Civic Plus

A city official said Joel and Daniel led the recruitment and that the interns are students at California State University, Monterey Bay (CSUMB); the interns are expected to begin next week to assist staff with IT needs. ‘‘They’re gonna hire 4, IT interns who are students at CSUMB, and they'll be starting next week,’’ the official said.
The city also said it is transitioning its agenda management to Civic Plus and that the next public-meeting packet will be produced using Civic Plus instead of the current Novus platform. The official characterized this as an operational change; no formal procurement action or council vote was announced during the remarks.
Council or staff encouraged departments to make use of the interns for routine IT needs once they are on board.
