Councilors and staff framed the outcome as a favorable resolution to a longstanding economic development arrangement and thanked Clay Jackson (staff) for identifying that the town had been due funds earlier in the project.
Council approved the resolution by motion and voice vote with no recorded roll call. Staff said the termination concludes a multi‑year process related to the downtown development arrangements and frees the town from future lease payment obligations under the original agreement.
