Plat committee grants notice waivers, acknowledges withdrawals and approves expedited docket

The Indianapolis Plat Committee on July 9 approved administrative actions including short notice waivers, acknowledgements of petition withdrawals, continuances and approval of an expedited docket.
The committee granted a one-day waiver of published and posted notice for case 2025 PLT 041 after counsel Russell Brown said the notices were mailed late; staff stated it had no objection. The committee also approved a six-day waiver of notice for case 2025 PLT 017 after the petitioner reported late notice delivery. Both waivers passed on roll-call votes with the members present voting in the affirmative.
The committee acknowledged petitioner requests to withdraw case 2025 PLT 038 (item 6) and case 2025 PLT 010 (top item on the agenda). Staff then moved several petitions to the expedited docket, including 2025 PLT 041 (with an amendment to condition 14 to recommend approval of a sidewalk waiver for the East 70 Ninth Street frontage). The expedited docket — which included 2025 PLT 017 (6002 Michigan Road / 2116 West 60th Street), 2025 PLT 035 (3939 Madison Avenue), 2025 PLT 036 (10351 East Thompson Road), and 2025 PLT 041 (8115 Oaklandon Road / East 70 Ninth Street) — was read into the record and approved by the committee on a roll-call vote.
Committee staff notified the members that petition 2025 PLT 039 (1135–1141 North Tacoma Avenue) required further petitioner-staff discussion and moved that case to the August 13 plat committee hearing; the committee approved that continuance.
At the end of the docket the committee also held a public hearing and approved case 2025 PLT 034 (Grayson Section 2; 7320 East Hannah Avenue) with conditions 1–13 after hearing public comment from residents who said they had questions about proximity to new lots. The committee approved the plat on a roll call vote.
The items handled on the expedited docket and the notice-waiver votes were recorded in the meeting minutes; members present voted unanimously on the expedited approvals and most administrative motions.
