Hooksett — The Hooksett Town Council on July 9 removed from the table and approved the Hooksett Kiwanis 5K road race, confirming police detail, fire and EMS response, public works traffic-control resources and porta‑potty support.
Event organizers previously asked for approval but the request was tabled at the prior meeting pending confirmation of available funds under a default budget. At this meeting, town staff reported that police and emergency details, public works cones and barricades, and porta‑potties are covered in existing budgets and that the conservation commission would handle use of the Hispods trail and any conservation easement considerations.
Organizers and staff confirmed the event has operated on similar routes in prior years. The council voted to approve items 1–6 in the event packet and thanked organizers for returning with the requested information.
