The board agreed on focusing on ongoing projects, grants and property-improvement programs rather than launching new initiatives, with several members saying they want to see projects completed before opening new work. Board members Schwartz and Simone explicitly said they supported closing out current projects; another member said the same during discussion.
The board considered the August 13 meeting date and an alternative of August 12, but decided to cancel the August meeting. A motion to cancel was made and seconded; the board recorded a unanimous yes on the cancellation. Staff said it will bring a formal FY26 budget for board approval at the September meeting.
Earlier in the meeting the board approved the minutes of the June 11, 2025 regular MCRA meeting by roll call; members voted yes on the minutes.
